In March 1958, State-owned Zhangdian Chemical Plant was established.

In October 1966, Ion exchange resin was put into production.

In May 1991, 10,000-ton epoxypropane production equipment was introduced from Japan.

In June 1992, 10,000-ton polyether production equipment was introduced from Japan.

In March 1993, Shandong Dongda Chemical Industry (Group) Company was established.

In September 1993, title of “China’s Top 500 Chemical Enterprises” was awarded by the National Bureau of Statistics.

In December 1995, the company was promoted to the state’s large-sized enterprise (level I).

In December 2000, the company became a major enterprise group in Shandong.

In August 2002, Shandong Dongda Chemical Industry Co. Ltd. was established.

In December 2004, Zibo Municipal Government and China National BlueStar (Group) Co. Ltd. signed the framework agreement about the restructuring Shandong Dongda Chemical Industry Co. Ltd.

In March 2006, Shandong Bluestar Dongda Chemical Co. Ltd. was established.

In October 2009, 160,000-ton PPG expansion and reconstruction project achieved the goal of “project establishing, design, construction, production and profit-making at the same year” to create the speed of Dongda.

In June 2010, Zibo Municipal Government and Chemchina signed a framework agreement for investment and cooperation that is the foundation stone laying ceremony for “ChemChina’s Base for New Chemical Materials Industry in Zibo.”

In November 2010, “Dongda Brand” polyether polyol was awarded the title, “China’s Famous Brand.”

In January 2011, Shandong Provincial New Surfactant Engineering Research Center was set up.

In March 2011, Shandong Bluestar Dongda Chemical Co. Ltd was elected as the chief director unit of the China Polyurethane Industry Association Special Committee of Polyether at the fifth board of directors.

In 2013, title of “Superior Unit of Ankang Cup” was awarded by All-China Federation of Trade Union and State Administration of Work Safety State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision.

In September 2014, title of “Brilliant Twenty-year Leader Enterprise in Polyurethane Industry” was awarded by China Polyurethane Industry Association.

In June 2015, Shandong Bluestar Dongda Chemical Co. Ltd was selected as implementing standard pilot enterprise of integrating IT application with industrialization management system by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

In September 2016, the test run of high-quality polyether project succeeded.

In April 2017, 90,000-ton epoxypropane production equipment was closed down.

In May 2017, it was renamed as Shandong Bluestar Dongda Co. Ltd.

In January 16,2018, Shandong Bluestar Dongda (nanjing) co., LTD was established.
