Safety is not only crucial to an enterprise’s development, but also to the happiness of every family. June 2025 marks the 24th National "Work Safety Month", with the theme "Everyone Advocates Safety, Everyone Masters Emergency Response – Identify Safety Hazards Around You". During its "Family Day" event, Sinochem Dongda invited employees’ family members and children to visit the company and hosted a special safety experience activity.
On the "Family Day" of June 22, while everyone was busy taking photos to remember the occasion, Li Jianpan, an operator at the tank farm of the Polyether Plant, lay on a bed with bandages around him – simulating the state of limited mobility caused by an accident. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., he couldn’t even do simple movements like turning over.
At noon, Li Jianpan’s wife and daughter arrived at the simulation site. Though they knew it was just an "injury simulation" organized by the Polyether Plant, they couldn’t help but have tears in their eyes when they saw his condition. "You must comply with the safety operating procedures! If something happens to you, how will our family manage?" The trembling in his wife’s voice deeply moved everyone present, and it also made people more intuitively understand the importance of work safety – accidents not only harm individuals, but also plunge families into worry and hardship.
This injury simulation made the concept of "safety" more deeply rooted in people’s minds through a concrete approach. From the real feeling of being restricted by bandages, employees further grasped the philosophy that "HSE Always Comes First".
During this "Family Day" event, staff from the HSE Management Department specially explained safety knowledge to employees’ family members and children, helping them gain a profound understanding of the work safety situation.
After realizing the cruelty of safety accidents through various means, family members became "rear supervisors" for work safety. They conveyed their sincere expectations to the employees by writing safety messages.
