Sinochem Dongda R&D Center
As a leading institution for technological innovation in China’s polyurethane industry, Sinochem Dongda R&D Center has developed a "1+N" R&D system and built an R&D platform featuring "Four Centers". It has established strategic cooperation with a number of top domestic universities and research institutions, forming a comprehensive industry-university-research collaborative innovation system. To date, it has overcome more than ten "chokepoint" technologies. In terms of basic polyether polyol technology, the Center has created 11 series of specialty products, built a diverse product chain, and continuously enhanced its core competitiveness through scientific and technological R&D—laying a solid foundation and providing impetus for high-quality development.

A number of high-performance polyether polyol products independently developed by the company have achieved import substitution. Among them, "Low-Odor, Low-VOC, High-Reactivity, Short-Cycle Polyether Polyol" and "Special Polyether Polyol for Low-Carbon & Environmentally Friendly Polyurethane Waterproof Coatings" have been certified to reach "International Advanced Level".

Sinochem Dongda has won over 10 important honors, including the China Patent Award, Provincial/Municipal-Level Patent Gold Award, and Science and Technology Progress Award. It holds 56 valid invention patents, and has led or participated in the formulation of 10 national standards, 2 industry standards, and 3 association standards.
Our innovative achievements have been successfully integrated into the supply chains of many world-renowned multinational enterprises, such as BASF, Covestro, Dow, Huntsman, Sika, Adient, Lear, and Mitsui. We have achieved industrial breakthroughs in eco-friendly polyurethane materials for key fields including automotive interiors and building energy efficiency, making outstanding contributions to the development of China’s polyurethane industry.
