On March 18, the first batch of qualified products from Sinochem Dongda (Quanzhou) 240,000 Tons/Year Polyether Polyol Project rolled off the production line. After strict testing, the products met the premium-grade standards, satisfied customer requirements, and were smoothly delivered—marking the successful one-time commissioning of the project.

This project is a key investment initiative of Sinochem Dongda in Quanhui Petrochemical Industrial Park, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, and an important part of Sinochem Group’s "14th Five-Year Plan" strategic layout. Leveraging Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical’s propylene oxide (PO), ethylene oxide (EO), styrene plants, and mature utility support, the project fully leverages the industrial chain synergy effect to further extend the integrated refining-chemical green industrial chain. By integrating upstream and downstream resources, the project will effectively enhance industrial added value and drive the chemical industry toward high-end and green development.

As a National Demonstration Enterprise of Single-Item Champions in Manufacturing, Sinochem Dongda mainly produces products such as high-resilience polyether, flexible foam polyether, rigid foam crosslinker polyether, POP polyether, and elastomer polyether. These products are widely used in high-end automotive and high-speed rail interior trim, bridge expansion joints, cable coatings, eco-friendly food-grade sealants, textiles, waterproof materials, and high-end home sponge, among other fields. In terms of raw material control, process monitoring, and quality stability, Sinochem Dongda has always maintained a leading position domestically and reached an advanced level internationally.

The commissioned plant adopts Sinochem Dongda’s proprietary production technology—an industry-leading solution—with process innovations and automated control upgrades based on 30 years of production experience. This ensures more stable quality of the produced polyether polyol and lower energy and material consumption.

Since construction began last year, Sinochem Dongda has completed the project with high quality, adhering to the spirit of "unwavering determination and extraordinary actions". It has repeatedly set new records in construction speed and achieved the goal of "starting construction and completing mechanical completion in the same year".

After the project is put into operation, Sinochem Dongda’s total production capacity will increase to 640,000 tons/year. This will further expand the company’s competitive advantages in the differentiated and high-end polyurethane market, enhance its market share in East China and South China, drive the accelerated development of high-end polyurethane and related industries in Quanzhou, and improve the overall competitiveness of the local petrochemical industry.
